— COMMON QUESTIONS

Fair questions, straight answers.

Is the breach check really free?+

Yes. The check, your full results, and the fix guide are free — no card, no account needed. Ongoing monitoring is an optional subscription — $9/month or $79/year — with the first 7 days free. We email you a heads-up before your first charge, and you can cancel anytime.

Can you see my passwords?+

No. We can see that a password associated with your address was exposed in a breach — never the password itself. Nobody legitimate can show you your actual password.

Do you store my email address?+

We cache a hashed fingerprint of your address for 24 hours so your results load quickly. We only keep your actual address if you ask us to email your results or you subscribe — and we store nothing else.

Where does the breach data come from?+

A commercial breach-intelligence database of known, publicly reported breaches and the credential lists traded online — billions of records, updated continuously.

I'm in a breach. Am I hacked?+

Not necessarily. A breach means a company you had an account with exposed your details — a door may be unlocked, not necessarily opened. The fix guide closes the doors that matter.
